Hi! It's raining in Paris (instead of the snow they promised), but as BJ Thomas once said, "I'm never gonna stop the rain by complaining." Plus, this is no place for complainers, so getting right along with the program, today I am grateful for:
1) A little Christmas shopping finally accomplished
2) Sweet happy kitties greeting me at the door of my warm, dry apartment
3) A delicious glass of champagne in celebration of a great new contract. Yay!
4) All of the people who have joined me here in gratitude sharing! I LOVE reading YOUR lists!
5) That I get to see my family and friends in less than a week!

Today, I'm going to post an extra five things:

2) Ongoing self-awareness in the areas of my inner landscape I'd like to change; after all, I'm a work in progress!
3) The woman in a wheelchair in front of the supermarket this afternoon who so sweetly asked me to help her put on her glove; I assisted her with kindness in my heart, wished her Happy Holidays, and then thanked God for my abundant health.
4) My inner voice which tells me it is high time that I become more involved in community service.
5) Cheese. Yummy cheese... with wine, of course!

ReplyDeleteToday, December 16, 2010, despite the fact that the US Dimocrat Congress is trying to destroy the country in a week, I am very, very thankful for the following things:
1. Due to one inch of snow and/or ice, all the must do things on my calendar were cancelled. If I was a third grader and school had been cancelled I could not be happier to have an unexpected Snow Day!
2. My beautiful daughter. No one talks about that enough. (inside joke LOL!)
3. My supportive husband who never takes me too serious but takes me serious enough.
4. Good doctors to help treat a serious disease.
5. All of my Christmas gifts are not only selected, they are WRAPPED!! Beautifully!
