Being a girl

Salut mes amis!

Another cold day in Paris; not as much sunshine this week as last week, but it's still an improvement over the past few months of grey, grey, grey.

Tuesday night I was going to a Mardi Gras party, and as I was going straight from work, I was early. So, instead of going straight to the party, I decided to stop by my friend Shauna's atelier as I knew she was also going and thought she was probably still at work. What a great decision that turned out to be! We talked, laughed, primped, drank wine, laughed some more and eventually headed to the party which was not half as much fun as the pre-party. Shauna makes beautiful custom jewelry and clothes. She is so talented, it's amazing. If you're in Paris, you should definitely stop by: 24, rue Véron in the 18th arrondissement. Here's a little taste of her shop. Isn't it almost sinfully gorgeous?

Today I'm very thankful that I'm a girl. I love being a girl because...

1)  sometimes when you're a girl, getting ready for an event is more fun than the actual event
2)  lipstick, mascara, all the things that let me be me, only prettier
3)  perfume...I love perfume and love wearing it
4)  dresses and skirts...I love feminine clothes. They make me feel so...girly.
5)  And last, but not least:  Men...I love all of the ways they're different from us girls.

I had a boss once who hated the term "girl." We're women. Yes, yes, we are women. But inside some of us (maybe all of us--I can't say), there's a girl who sometimes just wants to be a girl.

Hope you have a delicious day!
bisous
