One document away

Hi friends!

I hope all is well with you. I know some of you are snowed in, some of you are iced in, and some of you got rained on most of the day--like me. The rain backed off this afternoon, so as I was making my way to my appointment at the préfecture, I only had the wind to deal with.

So, as for the appointment...I am 99% sure that I am one document away from having this card that I have spent so much time working toward. One document! The woman even had me sign the paper that you sign so they can make the card, so I'm VERY hopeful that when I go back with the paper, I'll get the card. As for the paper, well, I have to get it from a French organization, so that's another hurdle. She told me to come back asap, so the race to get the document is on! Wish me luck, & send those prayers and good vibes again please!

I'm thankful for many things today including:

1)  the fact that I am possibly (maybe even likely) getting this carte de séjour
2)  the rain stopping before I had to do much walking outside...in a suit
3)  pistachios
4)  warm showers
5)  moisturizing lipstick (boy does the wind do a number on my skin)

I'll update you when I have news. In the meantime, tell me something good!
