Please be patient

Salut!

Welcome to Monday, a day that brings 3 classes of college students my way. Suffice it to say that I would not do this particular job if they didn't pay me, but I am very glad for the job and the €€€.

I just read a funny story about the decision of the NY subway powers-that-be to stop making "please be patient" announcements. Apparently, people were ticked off at being asked to be patient and complained. They make those announcements here too, and generally people are patient. I can't imagine a French person complaining about such an announcement. Although, here we are missing out on one NY announcement:  "a crowded subway train is no excuse for inappropriate sexual touching." Sometimes I've wished we had that one. Amazing that it would be necessary, huh? Randomness today on the GP.

Onto other things...like gratitude. So, I'm grateful for a lot of things including:

  • having officially given my apartment quitting notice in order to move into my NEW APARTMENT!
  • the return of some of my MBA students who rock...I was happy to see them.
  • sunshine in Paris...never get enough of that
  • a lovely little red wine that I lucked out in buying
And a nice, cozy dinner at home with the sweetest furry children in Paris. Chilly outside but warm inside. Love it.

So tell me about your day...
bisous
