I've seen several articles recently about the positive effects of gratitude on our health. Excellent! One more reason to keep on keepin' on!
Today I'm grateful for my washing machine. When I move into my new apartment, I'm definitely going to have to buy one. I've gotten used to not having a dryer (that's right, it all gets hung on a drying contraption), but the washing machine is a must.
I'm also thankful for the nice, funny women at the school where I teach. The receptionist puts up with so much, but she has such a great sense of humor about it. The woman who runs the MBA program also puts up with a heck of a lot. I don't know how she does it, but she also does it while laughing. I guess it's laugh or cry sometimes, and these women have become experts at choosing laughter.
And my new non-itchy scarf. As much as I love my cashmere and wool scarves, I find myself constantly scratching my neck when I wear them. A bad allergy for a girl living in chilly Paris!
It's the day after Thanksgiving (and by the way, I'm glad we don't have Black Friday insanity here), and the Christmas season has truly begun! Here's a picture of the grilled salmon chateau at the Champs Elysees marché de noel. The grilled salmon chateau is new this year, and the guy inside is dressed in...I don't know what, traditional salmon grilling attire? He's in the back right corner, in the pointy hat. Different.
You can see the salmon grilling by the fire. Cool, huh?
Ok, tell me what you're grateful for today?
bisous!
